Just Juice. 2016 is Your Year

This is my favorite time of the year, a time to hit the reset, renew, rejuvenation and realign buttons.  It's a time to reflect on what working in your life and what needs to be realeased.  As a doctor, I witness patients everyday pushing and surpassing their perceived limitations in their health and wellness and that's what keeps me inspired!

One of my favorite ways to hit the reset button is through detoxing. Detoxing is vital to your health and wellness by cleansing your body, mind and spirit for a fresh perspective and energetic body moving forward throughout the year. One of the best forms of detoxing is through juice cleansing. I was introduced to juicing via Joe Cross' documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, one man's journey in completely transforming his health through juicing.  After watching, my Fiance and I loaded up on organic produce and juiced for the next three days, both losing 8 lbs each and feeling an energy level and glow I hadn't accessed in years. We have made the commitment to juice every year since. Here at Back To Health, we just finished a juice cleanse through Simple Science Juices in Overland Park last week and all feel re-energized and most importantly, more mindful about clean, conscious eating moving forward.

You can either juice straight forward or modify with a juice for breakfast and lunch then consuming an organic salad with a low glycemic vinaigrette dressing for dinner and snacking on almonds or cashews in between juices.
